Zee TV Programme 'Jodha Akbar' Disrupting Religious Belief and History

Historical Drama 'Jodha Akbar' disrupting history and creating conflicts about religion.

This blog is just to give my point of view and thinking on the programming and it is not intended to start any communal disrupt in any manner.

Television in India is a huge industry which has thousands of programmes in many languages. The small screen has produced numerous celebrities, some even attaining national fame. More than half of all Indian households own a television.

As of 2012, the country has a collection of free and subscription services over a variety of distribution media through which there are over 823 channels.

Television media is to influence a lot on people, on their belief and spirituality. Hence, in the early times of television in India, the television drama produced by the company ‘Numero Uno International’ owned by movie producer and director ‘Sanjay Khan’, “The Sword of Tipu Sultan’, an Indian Historical drama was widely praised for its authenticity.

Now, another historical drama being broadcasted at present, ‘Jodha Akbar’ bearing all the actual names of the ruler and the empire but less authenticated is creating the wrong image of the faith and belief of the religion.

Though it is being casted with the prior message in the voice of 'Om-Puri' as it is only for the entertainment, it gives a wrong impression about the history among the young ones, as they are more likely to believe in the stories or morals shown as an act in the media and television through various programmes.

There were many instances of the Ruler, Akbar practicing the idol worship and so on…, which were prohibited in ISLAM, these creates indifference about the religion misleading the young ones from their religion, as if it is allowed under some circumstances shown in the television which is not true.

TV Programme ‘Jodha Akbar’ has so far largely concentrated the internal differences of the Mughal Empire and just like any other programme it has focused on the relationship of the couple, Akbar and Jodha. Also it has just thrown up the worst impression on the rest of the Mughal empire except the ruler, who has only been in disputes and fights against his muslim counterparts and within his kingdom but none from any other dynasty.

We have to understand that the historical events are not meant for entertainment purpose. Using the names of historical persons in entertainment industry for just an entertainment but not to learn from the history is to insult the great historians.

I’m shocked to see that there is no action being taken by the government against these programmes despite some initiative from few people.
Religion point of view, this should be banned from broadcasting unless they don’t affect the religion sentiments.
Government should take a plan of action and stop from broadcasting such serials.

Let us the numbers objecting these kind of broadcasting and argue the government to stop the broadcasting of these serials.

Let the #Government of INDIA and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (http://www.mib.gov.in/) look into this as our request and help to save the actual History of INDIA.

Please give your comment and vote below to stop such serials from broadcasting.
